Hartley, UConn Head To The Finals

North Babylon hoops star scores 15 in Huskies 83-65 win over Notre Dame Sunday night.

Bria Hartley and her Connecticut teammates are one win away from a national championship.

Sunday night, the Huskies defeated rival Notre Dame 83-65 for a trip to the finals Tuesday night against Louisville. The game will be aired Monday night on ESPN at 8:30 p.m.

Hartley, of North Babylon, was one of four UConn players in double figures against the Fighting Irish with 15 points while playing 37 minutes. She also had 5 rebounds, 2 assists and a game high 4 steals.

UConn’s victory over Notre Dame was the team’s first in four tries against the Fighting Irish this season. In the tournament, the Huskies road to the championship game includes victories over Idaho 105-37, Vanderbilt 77-44, Maryland 76-50 and Kentucky 83-53 along with the win over Notre Dame.
