Fifteen gifted young student-artists at Deer Park’s John F. Kennedy Intermediate School will have their work displayed as part of the Suffolk County Art Leaders Association Children’s Art Show, held in cooperation with the Babylon Citizens Council of the Arts. This is the second year in a row that JFK’s art program has participated in the SCALA show.
“I chose the artwork for this show based on picking five pieces each from the third through fifth grades,” said JFK art teacher Laurie Schwartz, who framed each work of art for maximum aesthetic impact. “I tried to choose a variety of pieces from the projects we have done so far this year, as well as work that exhibited great craftsmanship and talent.”
