Lace to the Top

Lace to the Top is a bottom-up action for everyone concerned about the effects that high stakes testing is having on our children, teachers and education system.  Join our group on facebook!

The idea is simple: connect individuals concerned with high-stakes testing including parents, teachers, administrators, district leadership, and of course, students under a bright and bold, uniform symbol of strength: the bright green shoelace.

Here's how it works:

1. Put bright, neon green shoelaces on your favorite pair of sneakers (or put them on all of your sneakers).

2. Wear the bright green laces proudly on your run to the store or your 5k run.

3. Look for others wearing bright green shoelaces and say hi.

4. Invite your family, friends, students, and colleagues to wear the Lace to the Top shoelaces and show their support of this movement to end the over-reliance on testing.

There are no "official" Lace to the Top shoelaces. The laces only need to be bright neon green and worn as often as possible in as many places as possible.

Take pictures of yourself in your Lace to the Top sneakers and post them on the LTTP page.  Also, use our page to share ideas, concerns, and stay updated on various ways to take action.
