As part of a service learning project, primary and middle school students paired up at Saints Cyril and Methodius School in Deer Park to design Valentine’s Day cards for nursing home residents of the Maria Regina Residence in Brentwood last month. The students took their mission to heart with the goal of sharing their gifts of faith and service and the 140 beautifully crafted, imaginative cards that were hand-delivered to the Maria Regina Residence were as varied as their creators. It was an activity that brought smiles to the faces of recipients and artists alike.
