1. North Babylon Community Youth Services' annual Chinese Auction is this Friday, Dec. 14. Admission is $5 to get in, which includes 25 tickets. Food and drink will be available for purchase. Prizes include gift certificates to local restaurants and retail stores, a flat screen television and $100 worth of lotto tickets.

To lend a helping hand this holiday season, the North Babylon Panera Bread, along with its other locations across Long Island, is asking its neighbors to donate frozen turkeys, supermarket turkey coupons and non-perishable food items at any of its 22 Long Island bakery-cafes on or before Dec. 24.
