Get ready for a spooky afternoon at Belmont Lake State Park's Great Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular Sail this Saturday.
Children can take part in the big Halloween sail by bringing their carved pumpkins to the park that weight no less than five, but no more than ten pounds. The pumpkins must be dropped off earlier in the day starting at 11 a.m.
The pumpkins will be limited to the first 50 to be brought to the park.
The big event will also include a costume parade, balloon twisting, spider and bat crafts, trick or treating, a dance party, games and much more.
The pumpkins themselves will set sail on the lake at 6 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public. Questions and more information can be received from the State Park representatives at (631) 667-5055.
