Holiday Season Kicks Off at Belmont Lake State Park

Fireworks, a visit from Santa and a tree lighting ceremony mark the start of the season.

Belmont Lake State Park in North Babylon hosted its annual holiday tree lighting event on Saturday, featuring fireworks, a visit from Santa and an ice sculptor.
Hundreds of residents came out to enjoy the holiday festivities, which also included a medly of songs by the North Babylon Elementary school choirs.
