Thousands in Donations to Local Schools

Residents and businesses give to children in the Deer Park and North Babylon districts.

Local families and businesses have contributed thousands of dollars to Deer Park and North Babylon students this month, alone. Here is a look at some of the recent donations.

  • The John Quincy Adams Elementary School PTA in Deer Park received a $2,000 grant from Target, which was approved by the Board of Education Sept. 24. Target also donated $996.69 to the North Babylon School District through its Take Charge of Education fund.

  • Dr. Jeff Daily, director of fine and performing arts in the Deer Park School District, gave a $1,000 donation to the music program to cover the costs of performances and workshops by the Living Theater.

  • Target and Pampered Chef donated $537.35 to John F. Kennedy Intermediate in Deer Park to be deposited into the school's Spirit account.

  • The Patriot Soccer Club donated a gate to Parliament Place Elementary School in North Babylon for the east side of the fence with locks attatched.
