All You Need is Love: Benefit for Families Affected By Hurricane Sandy

Come down to the Nutty Irishman of Bay Shore and support neighbors, families and friends who have suffered at the hands of Hurricane Sandy. All proceeds will go to United Way's "Sandy Recovery Fund" for Long Islanders affected by Hurricane Sandy. Event includes a free buffet, 50/50 raffle and prizes. This is a family friendly event, featuring popular music from the music from the 60s and 70s with four great bands.

When: Dec. 9; 2-6 p.m.

Where: 60 E Main Street, Bay Shore

Cost: $20 at the door, FREE admission for children younger than 12.

N. Babylon Teen Playing Horton in Local Performance of "Seussical"

North Babylon teen, Frankie Piccione, will play one of the lead characters in the local version of the Broadway musical, "Seussical," opening this weekend at Temple B’nai Torah in Wantagh.

When: Dec. 8, 15: 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 9, 16: 2 p.m.

Where: 2900 Jerusalem Avenue (and Oakfield Avenue), Wantagh

Price: $15 for Adults, $10 for seniors and children.
