What's Happening: Wednesday's Events

Humidity will start building in today, but don't let that stop you from heading around the Island.

Patch Forecast: Deer Park, North Babylon and the rest of Long Island will see the return of the dreaded humidity, which will stick with us for the rest of the week (literally) until a storm this weekend clears us out. Forecasts are calling for fog before 9:00 a.m., before turning partly sunny with a high near 85°.

Learn to stretch and mold your body into shape with Zumba at Celebrations in West Babylon. Instructor Krissy will be teaching zumba mixed with some dance fitness in a workout that's fun for all ages. The program begins at 10:00 a.m. at 344 Little East Neck Road in West Babylon and costs $5.00.

Check out some awesome old and classic cars from the 40's, 50's and 60's at  in Deer Park. Advance Auto Parts will give 10 % off anything in the Store the night of the car show, located at People's United Bank Parking Lot starting at 5:00 p.m.

The Deer Park Community Center will host  for ages 13 and up for free! Call the community center ahead, wear some light clothing and register to learn how to defend yourself using martial arts.

The Suffolk County Department of Health Services will be conducting aerial spraying of pesticides against West Nile Virus over parts of North Babylon tonight starting at 7:30 p.m. We will have a reminder later today, but check out for more information.
