Where to Donate in Town

Here are a few locations taking donations for those displaced and in need after Hurricane Sandy.

The following locations are accepting donations for Hurricane Sandy victims. If you know of other places, please add them in the comments below.

First Presbyterian Church, 79 East Main Street, Babylon NY 11702 

Canened food donations are being taken Friday, Nov. 2 until 4 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

North East Customs, 68 East Jerfyn Blvd., Deer Park, NY 11729

Accepting clothes, water and food for those who have lost everything. There is also a free charging station. The business is also giving out free car check ups to make sure vehicles are safe after the hurricane. All donations will go to Red Cross and nearby shelters.

Deer Park Fire Departent, 94 Lake Avenue, Deer Park, NY 11729

The fire department is hosting a clothing drive for all families affected by Hurricane Sandy. Residents can drop off their donations starting today at the firehouse located at 94 Lake Avenue in Deer Park. Please separate men's, women's and children's clothing.

Deer Park Community Presbyterian Church, 1843 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park

A Food/Clothing Drive is being held on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at the Deer Park Community Presbyterian Church.

The Church is located at 1843 Deer Park Avenue on the corners of Lake Ave and DPA in Deer Park. Please use the Lake Avenue entrance. Donations can be dropped off between 9am & 4pm in the social hall.

Items needed are:
*Non Perishable Food Items
*Pet Food
*Baby Items (such as diapers, baby wipes and baby food)
*Blankets
*Clothing of all sizes
*Socks and Shoes
*Personal Hygiene Items (such as soap, shampoo and deodorant)
*Batteries
*Flashlights

All Donations received will be brought to the Lindenhurst Fire Department on Tuesday evening.
