King Kullen: West Islip Workers Will Be Offered Jobs at Other Stores

The fact King Kullen is closing its Udall Road store in West Islip doesn’t mean employees will lose their jobs, according to the supermarket, as workers will be offered roles at other stores.

“It is our intention to offer employees similar positions in other stores at the same rate of pay and employment status,” said Joseph W. Brown, senior vice president, Chief Merchandising Officer, in an email to Patch Friday morning.

Deer Park Avenue to Close for Old Fashioned Village Christmas

Babylon Village businesses are getting ready for this Friday's annual Old Fashioned Village Christmas, but this year's edition includes a new twist – a closed down roadway.

Much like the Spring Fling and Fall Festival events run by the Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce, this year's Christmas event will see Deer Park Avenue closed from Main Street up to James Street, according to chamber officials.
