Monty's Stops Pumping, Briefly, During Renovations

Monty's, the gas station and mechanic on Deer Park Avenue in North Babylon, has stopped pumping petroleum for the last few days while renovations are completed.

The location's owner said new pumps should be installed and operational before the week ends. He added that the mechanics were still working.

Monty's isn't the only gas station going through changes along the Deer Park Avenue corridor. Deer Hills Citgo made the switch to Sunoco recently because Sunoco agreed to pay for renovations at the Deer Park business on the corner of Nicolls Road. 

Also, the station on Grand Boulevard and Deer Park Avenue is now under new management and was renamed Xtra Fuels. It also had been a Citgo.
