• Hilary Topper about a new group that has formed on Long Island, the Social Media Association, Inc., (SMA). The organization targets marketing people, communications folks, bloggers or anyone who is interested in social media.

• Tami Hernandez, one of our real estate bloggers, discussed the importance of properly pricing a home for sale. what she has to say about the topic.

• Frequent blogger Meryl Ain this week focused on the end of the school year in her blog “.”

“In her K-12 Parents and the Public blog in Education Week, Michele Molnar wrote this week about the importance of parents staying engaged in schools over the summer,” Ain wrote. “I couldn’t agree more.”

• Jimmy Palakis focused his blog this week on summertime car care and driving tips.  He feels if you follow these  you will take the first steps in making sure your car runs it's best all summer long.

• Finally, Patch welcomed Rep. Steve Israel to our blogging community. The congressman focused his for Patch on the topic of protecting yourself from cell phone hackers.
