Town Board Members Recognize North Babylon Eagle Scout
Matthew Haggerty created a garden around the electric sign at North Babylon High School for his Eagle Project.
Town of Babylon Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez, Councilwoman Jacqueline Gordon and Councilman Tom Donnelly recently honored Matthew Haggerty of North Babylon for earning the rank of Eagle Scout.
Matthew, a member of Boy Scout Troop 179, was presented with an official proclamation from the town at a ceremony held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in West Islip.
Matthew’s Eagle Project consisted of constructing a garden around the electric sign at North Babylon High School. As part of his project, Matthew collected donations and led a group of scouts to complete the garden.
