Legislator D'Amaro Attend Deer Park HS Homecoming

There’s no place like home!

Deer Park Graduate Legislator D’Amaro

Joins Community at 2013 Homecoming

When is a homecoming not a homecoming? When you’ve never actually left! Suffolk Legislator Lou D’Amaro demonstrated this point on Saturday, October 19 when he took to the streets of Deer Park, joining students, local youths and other community leaders in the Deer Park High School 2013 Homecoming Parade as a proud Falcon.

What made Legislator D’Amaro’s presence unique was that he was marching not just as an elected official, but also as a proud Falcon himself.  The 1979 graduate of Deer Park High School, who now resides just down the road in North Babylon and serves the Deer Park community as part of his legislative district, was honored and excited to join in the festivities where he saluted and thanked the community that he still considers his “home turf.”

“Deer Park is a wonderful place to grow up due to its community spirit and ‘small town’ neighborhood atmosphere,” said Legislator D’Amaro. “Once a Falcon, always a Falcon, so it was a true honor to ‘come home’ and march in the Homecoming Parade!  I thank everyone for coming out and showing their support for Deer Park.”
