$5K Reward Offered For Info Leading to Arrest of Deer Park Pharmacy Robber

Police remain on the hunt for man who robbed pharmacy last week.

Crime Stoppers of Suffolk County announced Monday that it is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect(s) believed to be responsible for robbing the Deer Park CVS Pharmacy last week.

Half of the cash reward is being donated by pharmaceutical company Purdue Pharma L.P., which operates RxPATROL, a collaborative effort between industry, pharmacists and law enforcement to collect, collate, analyze and disseminate information on pharmacy theft.

Police say the suspect pictured above entered the pharmacy, located at 1944 Deer Park Avenue near Deer Park High School, around 11 p.m. on Sept. 22. He then jumped over the pharmacy counter and demanded prescription pain medication, police said.

A pharmacy employee complied and the robber fled in a white Ford Explorer, police said. No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-20s, approximately 6-foot-2 with a medium build.  He was wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, tan shorts and aviator sunglasses at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is asked to call the Crime Stoppers of Suffolk County Hotline at (800) 220-TIPS (8477). All calls are completely confidential and callers never have to give their names or appear in court, according to a statement from Crime Stoppers.
