Does the arrest of the man for sex offender violation have anything to do with the recent students being followed in Deer Park?

Hi Peg, As far as we know, the man arrested has no connection with any of those recent incidents. We will check with Suffolk Police to confirm that.- Ryan

Asked if there's any connection, a police spokesperson wrote this in an email--"No one has been arrested in the Deer Park incidents because there is nothing criminal in nature about them."

Ryan, Do you know what kind of punishment someone would get for a 2nd offense? I would imagine it's another stern warning instead of the deserved jail time.

I believe a second offense is a Class D felony. However, that does not necessarily mean jail time.
