UPDATE: Deer Park Roads Re-Opened

Police suggest alternate routes to the Deer Park LIRR station.

UPDATE: As of 11:30 a.m. Monday, police say all roads in Deer Park and Baywood have been re-opened. 

A fire at an industrial park in Baywood that has burned throughout Sunday has led to the closure of portions of Grand Boulevard and Corbin Avenue, according to Suffolk Police. 

Grand Boulevard will be closed indefinitely, in both directions, between East Industry Court and Corbin Avenue in Deer Park and Baywood, police said. 

Corbin Avenue will also be closed indefinitely, in both directions, between South 2nd Street and Howells Road in Deer Park. 

Police advised commuters to use Commack Road to Long Island Avenue or Sagtikos State Parkway to Pine Aire Drive to get to the Deer Park Long Island Rail Road Station.

Newsday reported that the debris fire at the corner of Corbin Avenue and 4th Street was "was almost completely contained by 7 p.m." after drawing a response from nearly 150 firefighters from 37 departments.
