Suffolk County Police are investigating an incident at Parliament Place Elementary School in North Babylon, in which 49 windows were broken Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Police said that they are not sure what the motive of the vandalism was, but that the crime is currently being classified as an act of criminal mischief.
Officials from the North Babylon School District said that the windows are currently being repaired.
In September, parents raised concerns with police about hazards on the fields and basketball court of the North Babylon elementary school. Police later made the school an SCPD patrol check point.
