North Babylon High School went on lockdown Wednesday after a student reported seeing gunman outside of the North Babylon Library on Deer Park Avenue, across from the school, police confirmed.
The high school was put under lockdown shortly before 10 a.m., in which students and staff were not allowed to move from their classrooms for about an hour. Additionally, no one was allowed in or out of the building.
Suffolk County Police said that no threats had been found during their investigation
The building remained under a modified lock down, in which students could move within the school from class to class for the remainder of the school day.
