A North Babylon Getty Mart was robbed at gunpoint last week and police are seeking a man they suspect of robbing numerous other Suffolk County businesses over the past two weeks.
According to police, the man has entered eight establishments, including the North Babylon Getty on Bay Shore Road on Nov. 1, and pretends to purchase an item.
When the employee opens the cash register, the man displays a black handgun and demands cash, police said. The robber then flees the location on foot, possibly to a vehicle waiting nearby, police said.

Besides the North Babylon Getty, the robberies have occurred at six other gas stations located in Eastport, Calverton, Mastic, St. James, Dix Hills and Bohemia as well as at Jamba Juice in Stony Brook. No one was injured during any of the robberies.

A Bay Shore teenager is facing a felony charge for making a terrorist threat on the social network Twitter that a shooting would take place at a high school soccer game Wednesday night.
Mario Cernas, 19, was arrested at his home, at approximately 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to police. He is charged with making a terroristic threat, a Class D felony.
