The cause of a fatal fire in North Babylon on New Year's Eve has yet to be determined, the head of Suffolk Police's homicide squad told Patch Monday.
Lt. Jack Fitzpatrick said it could be another month before investigators determine what caused the blaze that took the life of 61-year-old Raymond Frank.
Frank's body was found inside his home at 37 Peacock Lane after a neighbor called 911 and firefighters put out the flames.
Frank was the only one inside the home at the time of the fire.
