N. Babylon Firefighter Hospitalized After House Fire
Firefighter treated for heat exhaustion after North Babylon firefighters respond to Bay Shore house fire.
A North Babylon firefighter was taken to the hospital with heat exhaustion after battling a house fire in Bay Shore Saturday, according to Suffolk County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services.
Several fire departments, including North Babylon, responded to the blaze, which started shortly before 4 p.m., on Girard Avenue.
Heavy fire in the rear of the two-story home quickly spread to the second floor and attic, according to info on the Suffolk County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services Facebook page.
