A Suffolk Police K-9 unit and helicopter were in the area Monday night after a report of gunfire in North Babylon.
Police said a 911 call came in at 7:20 p.m. and the caller stated they heard a gunshot in the vicinity of 43 Scott Avenue.
There were no reported injuries, police said, and the First Squad is investigating. No arrests have been made.
