Police: Teen Robbed of iPhone in Deer Park

A 15-year-old walking in Deer Park was robbed of his iPhone on Friday afternoon, according to police.

Police say the teen was walking southbound on Lincoln Avenue when he was approached by three people who were on foot.

iPhones are GPS tracked and when reported lost/stolen, the ESN is blocked from being activated on that specific network. Yes, they can be sold on Craigslist and unlocked via specific methods, but not too many people know/realize that. This sounds like kids just being a bunch of punks. Also, why was a 15 year old walking the streets especially, of Deer Park, alone?

Deer park, dix hills, lindenhurst and most of LI is crime ridden. This island has become a cesspool and is an extention of the filthy 5 boros. This island is lost as society is lost.People you all have done a great job of raising you kids....just look what we have to show for it.Many years ago this crap was not a problem. Then society got stupid and parents had more interest in trying to stay young then in teaching their children right from wrong. Now this is the result.Bravo people bravo.
