Police: Two Men Shot, One Fatally, in Gang-Related Shooting in Deer Park
One killed and another injured in shooting outside the Night Owl Lounge early Thursday, police say.
One man was killed and another seriously injured in what police are calling a gang-related shooting outside of Deer Park's Night Owl Lounge early Thursday morning.
The shooting occurred in the parking lot of the bar, located at the corner of Long Island Avenue and Wright Avenue, at 2:22 a.m., police said.
According to police, three people inside a white Cadillac pulled into the parking lot and two people in a group standing outside fired several shots at the vehicle.
The driver, identified by police as Jean Yves, 25, of Wyandanch, was stuck and later pronounced dead at the hospital. A passenger, who was struck in the chest, was being treated and his condition is unknown at this time, police said. A third person in the vehicle was not injured.
The group that included the two shooters fled the scene in two vehicles, police said.
