Police: Woman, Officer Hurt in North Babylon Fire

A woman and a police officer suffered minor injuries in a fire at a building that houses a North Babylon limousine company Saturday morning, police said. 

According to police, the fire broke out at the offices of Gold Star Limousine at 9:29 a.m. 

A woman who was inside at the time suffered minor burns and was transported to the hospital, police said. 

A police officer was also treated for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire does not appear to be criminal, police said.
