The Town of Babylon is back to its regular garbage collection schedule.
Sanitations and garbage collectors are out picking up debris and regular trash, but some areas of the town are still unaccessible, town spokesperson Tim Ruggeri.
"Garbage collectors have been instructed to take everything. They’re taking as much as they can right now and running at full capacity. They're doing everything they can," he said. "This is an all hands on deck operation."
Also, the Department of Environmental Conservation has been given the green light to the Town of Babylon to start burning debris.
On Wednesday, 1,000 tons of debris were burned.
The Town has also set up 30-yard containers throughout the villages for residents to bring their debris to. The containers are moving around throughout the villages, Ruggeri said.
