Spangle Drive Senior Center Opening Friday
Heat and electric are now up and running at the facility.
The Town of Babylon will reopen the Spangle Drive Senior Center in North Babylon on Friday, Nov. 2.
Hurricane Sandy wiped out heat and electric in the building, but all of the facility's systems are now functioning, Supervisor Rich Schaffer said.
Town officials have been visiting all four of the town's senior centers, Schaffer said, but Spangle Drive is the only one able to open at this time. The North Amityville, Tanner Park and Wyandanch senior centers all remain closed.
