Town of Babylon Awards Scholarship to Deer Park's Adrianne Gowie

Deer Park High graduate receives a $1,000 scholarship.

Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer recently joined with Department of Public Works Commissioner Tom Stay, Councilwoman Jacqueline Gordon, Councilman Tom Donnelly and Town Clerk Carol Quirk to award $1,000 to Adrianne Gowie, a member of the Deer Park High School Class of 2013, as part of the Suffolk County Highway Superintendent Association Scholarship Fund.

The scholarship is open to applicants who are graduating high school seniors and interested in pursuing a career in engineering or public works. Applicants are required to write a brief essay; the best of which is selected by the commissioner to receive the scholarship.
