Update: The North Babylon School District has now canceled after school and evening activities, including the middle school dance and high school play, for Friday. All scheduled Saturday activities are also canceled.
The district's Almost Home After School Program will be open Friday. Parents of students at the Almost Home Program are encouraged to pick up their children as early as possible.
All after school activities, including SCOPE, have been in canceled for Friday for the Deer Park School District.
The district posted a note on its website making the announcement Friday morning.
The latest update from the National Weather Service is calling for up to 20 inches of snow to slam the area before the storm ends Saturday afternoon.
District activities for Saturday have also been canceled.
North Babylon Schools have not announced any activity cancellations. Both districts are headed toward releasing students at the normal time Friday.
