Deer Park High School Cleaning Up

Debris from the pool roof have been cleared.

The debris from the pool roof at Deer Park High School have been cleared after Hurricane Sandy left her mark in the area by ripping it off the building.

Noor Muhamad, who lives behind the high school, watched the roof tear off and blow toward his home around 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

"Everything blew off," he said while picking pieces of the roof off of his front lawn. "We watched it come off little by little."
