Deer Park School Budget Meeting Set for Tuesday

Meeting at the district office will focus on athletics, technology and transportation expenses.

The Deer Park Board of Education will hold a budget workshop Tuesday night at the district administration office on Deer Park Avenue.

The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. Transportation, athletics, technology and co-curricular portions of the budget will be discussed.

The district has not released a final budget proposal yet, but the total preliminary budget for next year currently stands $102,998,570, representing a tax levy increase of 2.57 percent, which is below the state's mandated tax cap.
