N. Babylon HS, Kindergarten Take Part in Cooperative Education Project

Students help create, plan and evaluate mini-lessons for kindergarten at Marion G. Vedder Elementary School.

Mrs. Dolezai's high school class has continued its cooperative education project with Mrs. Gryn's kindergarten class at the Marion G. Vedder Elementary School, allowing elder students to create, plan and evaluate mini-lesson plans for the younger students.

The project, which began during the 2011-12 school year, has reportedly been a success into its second year, providing each person involved with a "wonderful and valuable experience."

Mrs. Dolezal’s students get the opportunity to explore potential careers with children for the future, are able to use their life experiences to relate to others, and they serve as role models for the kindergarten students.
