New N. Babylon School Board Members Take Seats Thursday

Heather Rowland and Geri-Ann McNamee to be sworn at Thursday night meeting.

The two newly elected members of the North Babylon Board of Education will be formally sworn into office at the board's annual reorganization meeting on Thursday.

Heather Rowland and Geri-Ann McNamee were elected to the board in May, defeating incumbents Jay Shinnick and Bob Scheid. The three-year terms for the new board members officially began on July 1, but Thursday's meeting, to be held in the North Babylon High School auditorium ay 8 p.m., is the first for new board.

As part of the reorganization meeting, board members will also elect a president and vice president, roles currently filed by Janet Meyerson and Sal Levanti, respectively.
