Robert Moses Celebrates Character on Valentine's Day

Students participated in a wide-variety of outreach and character-building activities.

Students at North Babylon’s Robert Moses Middle School spread love this Feb. 14 as they participated in a variety of outreach and character-building activities.

The students in Kristen Pace’s Career Development Program and Michele Russo’s Life Skills class put their creativity to work using heart-shaped cutouts, markers and crayons to make Valentine’s Day grams. The grams were sold to students and staff and delivered by the CDP and Life Skills students on Valentine’s Day to their intended recipients.

Student Council members, along with their adviser Kathleen Gusmerotti, sold red carnations that were delivered on Valentine’s Day, with all of the proceeds donated to the American Heart Association. The student-raised funds were combined with the proceeds from Go Red Day, where staff members were allowed to dress down for work on Feb. 8. Between both fundraisers, RMMS donated more than $300 to the AHA.
