Deer Park and N. Babylon Schools Closed All Week

Deer Park and North Babylon district will remain closed on Thursday and Friday.

All classes are canceled in the Deer Park and North Babylon School Districts for the remainder of the week.

The districts made the announcement at noon Wednesday that the schools will remain closed on Thursday, Nov. 1 and Friday, Nov. 2. Officials stated on the school district's websites that residents should stay tuned for further updates.

"I have toured the district and have found many downed wires and trees making it unsafe for students to be at bus stops and travel to and from school," Superintendent of Deer Park Schools Eva Demyen, stated on the district's website.
