Robert Buonaspina, a senior at St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School, has been selected as a member of the 2013 NAfME All-National Honor Choir sponsored by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME).
He will join more than 670 of the most musically talented and skilled high school students in the United States to perform at a gala concert. This concert is on Wednesday, October 30, in the Presidential Ballroom of the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN. He is a North Babylon resident.
These exceptional students will prepare remarkably challenging music that they will perform under the baton of four of the most prominent conductors in the United States: Dr. Peter Boonshaft, Miriam Burns, Rollo Dilworth, and Rodney Whitaker.
Nan Doherty, Principal of St. John's remarked, "Robert is a musical talent in all aspects of musical performance, both instrumental and vocal. He is also quite gifted in writing and producing music. I am so very proud of him and his willingness to both share and develop his gifts!"
