Deer Park Varsity Football Earns Third Win

Jasawn Thompson ran for three touchdowns in the win.

Three Jasawn Thompson touchdown runs helped the Deer Park Falcons defeat Kings Park 37-20 on Friday.

The win lifted Deer Park to 3-1 on the season.

The Falcons trailed 14-7 at halftime, but took the lead on a Thompson touchdown run late in the third quarter.

"I thought we were really sloppy in the first half and couldn't get anything going," said coach Ron Langella. "Kings Park played better than their 0-3 record, but we hung together and Jasawn took the game over."

Kyle Lessick hit all five of his extra points and had an interception for a touchdown for Deer Park.

"He also made four or five solo tackles," Langella said.

Deer Park has also defeated Harborfields and Rocky Point this season. Their only loss came last week, when the Falcons fell 21-7 to Hauppauge.
