Geiger Park Opens In Time For Heatwave

New facility open to all Babylon Town residents.

On Saturday, Babylon Town's new Geiger Spray Park was officially opened, and the timing could not have been better as temperatures this week are forecast to be in the 90s.

The gathering this past weekend on the border of Deer Park and Wyandanch on Grand Blvd. marked the final step in the multi-million dollar project. Steve Bellone, Suffolk County Executive and former Babylon Town Supervisor, noted Geiger is now the largest municipal water park anywhere on Long Island.

The spray park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. For more information, visit Babylon Town's website or call 893-2100.
