Family To Host Memorial Golf Outing for John Gaffney

Proceeds will be donated to local organizations in memory of the 5-year-old.

As the Gaffney family continues to heal from the loss of their 5-year-old son, John, they have decided to celebrate his life by hosting a special fundraiser in his honor. John's mother, Teri, is a North Babylon native.

The will take place at The Hamlet at Willow Creek in Mt. Sinai on Monday, Oct. 8.

Tickets for the golf outing are $160, which includes 18 holes as well as a full cocktail-style dinner. Tickets to the dinner only can also be purchased for $75 per person. There will also be raffles and a $10,000 hole-in-one challenge.

"We want something positive to come out of a horrible situation," said John's mom Teri. "He was such a happy little kid. We want to honor his spirit and keep his memory alive."
