Deer Park-North Babylon Agenda: LI Family Festival, Pet Expo

Check out what's happening around Deer Park-North Babylon this weekend, Sept. 13-15.

It will certainly feel like fall this weekend with temperatures barely topping 70, but there's no rain in the forecast and there's plenty going on around town for those looking to get out of the house. 


Long Island Family Festival

The sixth annual Long Island Family Festival is coming to town this weekend. 

The yearly event at Babylon Town's Tanner Park includes live music, food, carnival rides, vendors and games and entertainment with a free admission.

Concerts will include Full House on Friday and Breakdown: Long Island's Ultimate Tom Petty Tribute Band on Saturday.

The festival kicks off Friday, Sept. 13 from 6 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 14 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 15 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Long Island Pet Expo

The Long Island Pet Expo in the Park will be held Saturday and Sunday in conjunction with the Long Island Family Festival at Tanner Park in Copiague. The Pet Expo in the Park will be open on both days from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Marine and Outdoor Recreation Expo

Assemblyman Saladino's Marine and Outdoor Recreation Expo will take place on Sunday, Sept. 15 at Captree Boat Basin from 12- 5 p.m.  A day of environmental protection education and recreation fun with fishing, touch tanks, boat displays, arts and crafts, live music and more!

West Islip

Our Lady of Lourdes Church Italian Feast

The Our Lady of Lourdes Church Italian Feast starts on Saturday at 6 p.m. on the school grounds on Hunter Avenue in West Islip.
