Another weekend is almost here. If you're looking to get out of the house, here's what's happening in the area:


Meredith Willson's Miracle on 34th Street The Musical 

The James Street Players will present the classic Christmas-time musical all weekend long on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and a 3 p.m. matinee on Sunday. Tickets are $20, group rates available.


A Night at the Races

The Lindenhurst Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1421 presents their annual Night at the Races on Saturday at 7 p.m. $10 donation includes dinner, dessert and beverages for the races, which begin at 8 p.m.

3rd Annual Larry Magri Benefit and CD Release Party

The 3rd Annual Benefit will take place on Saturday at The Village Pub in Lindenhurst at 6 p.m.. This year, Larry has requested that all proceeds go to The ALS Association Greater New York Chapter. Admission is a $5 donation.


Charity Effort to Keep the Needy Warm

The one-day “One Warm Coat” Drive is happening at the West Islip Library on Saturday, Nov. 23. The library is accepting new/gently used winter gear including coats, jackets, gloves, mittens, hats, snow suits, boots, etc.. all sizes needed.

A Scotch Lover’s Event Not to Miss

There’ll be a Glenlivet tasting and engraving event Saturday, November 23 at West Islip Wines and Liquors, located at 486 Union Boulevard, starting at 1 p.m.

Boulton Boasts Aztec Two-Step Show

The music of Simon & Garfunkel, the Everly Brothers will fill the YMCA Boulton Center for The Performing Arts on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 8 p.m.


Miller's Ale House and Lost Nights Bike Run

Join the Lost Nights and Lance Wolff, manager at Miller's Ale House of Levittown, in their annual bike run supporting Toys for Tots.  The ride will begin at Miller's Ale House in Deer Park at 11 a.m. Saturday and end at Miller's Ale House of Levittown.  See flyer here for more details.
