Lindenhurst's newest restaurant is preparing itself for a grand opening later this fall in October, according to the owner.

"We're slated, right now, for an October 21 opening," Steve Critelli, owner and general manager of Hurricane Grill & Wings in Hauppague. Critelli, along with his father and brother, will own and operate the new Lindenhurst location on Montauk Highway.

The new grill and wings restaurant will take over the building last occupied by the Cattleman's Grill. That restaurant was a total loss in the wake of the storm surge of Hurricane Sandy.

Critelli told Patch he was excited to bring the south shore of Suffolk County its first Hurricane franchise – especially with the restaurant's great view from the Neguntatogue Creek.

"I want it to be inviting to people," he said.

The restaurant is also looking to hire up to 75 people for the new restaurant. Critelli told Patch he would like to see people from throughout the neighborhood apply.

"We're looking for kitchen help, servers, waiters – you name it," he said.

Those interested in applying for a position with the Lindenhurst restaurant can apply through this listing on Craigslist.
