Racial Slurs Spray Painted on Deer Park Community Center
Police ask for public's help to identify those responsible.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Hate Crimes Unit detectives are asking for the public's help to locate the individual(s) responsible for spray painting racial slurs on the outside of the Deer Park Community Center.
Police said the incident occurred sometime between 3:12 a.m. and 4:45 a.m. on June 25. Besides the slurs, other assorted words and symbols were also spray painted on outside of the building located at 41 Homer Avenue.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS. Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
