Deer Park's Class of 2014 Top 10 Announced

Kyle Devine and Andreas Stamatakis are the valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively.

The Deer Park School District has announced the Top 10 students, based on class rank, of the Class of 2014. 

Kyle Devine is the valedictorian. 

“We will be hearing about Kyle for years to come,” Deer Park guidance counselor Jessica Gordon said of the Devine during a ceremony and breakfast for the Top 10 students and their families in the high school library recently.

Andreas Stamatakis is the salutatorian. The other students in the top 10 were Yasameen Saleem ranked third, Nasratullah Sultany fourth, Victoria Trovato fifth, Richard Jacullo sixth, Christina Catanzaro seventh, Daniela Zabbatino eighth, Nicholas Vitale ninth and Ebne Rafi 10th.

“As principal, I’d like to congratulate all 10 of you, and thank you and your families for making this a better school,” Principal James Cummings told the assembled seniors. “You’re here because of your grades, but thank you also for what you do outside the classroom, which is where you make your mark. I wish you all the best and can’t wait to hear what you accomplish in the future.”
