More Delays For N. Babylon Starbucks, Won't Open Until Fall

For North Babylon residents looking forward to their own Starbucks in town, the wait will go on a bit longer.

The newly constructed Starbucks at the corner of Deer Park Avenue and Woods Road "will now be opening in early fall," a Starbucks spokesperson told Patch Monday.

The coffee chain was originally targeting a July opening.

"As with any construction process, there are a variety of variables that can come up that may impact an opening," said the spokesperson, who gave no specific information as to what is delaying the openings. 

According to the Town of Babylon, Starbucks has a handful of inspection related items to get done before opening. A Town spokesperson said the Town doesn't foresee any delays on its end in getting those inspections done when Starbucks is ready.
